Shaveta Kang

Shaveta is a compassionate and experienced Phsiotherapist.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, and a Master's degree in Orthopedic Physiotherapy, in which she received an award for excellence in her academics.   She has been practicing Pyhsiotherapy since 2006, and is a member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).  She also holds a licence to practise in the U.S.A.  

Shaveta has worked in a variety of settings, which has given her extensive experience in treating motor vehicle accident patients, WSIB work injuries and extended health care patients.  With her experience treating various orthopedic and sports injuries, she has a special interest in treating the neck and back, also concussions, and balance issues.  

Shaveta believes in providing evidence based, effective care of each condition, that addresses the whole person, in order to achieve the best possible outcome.  She also believes in the importance of injury prevention and the active role each person must play in their Physiotherapy Rehabilitation.  Her treatment includes a detailed assessment, and setting treatment goals with the patient.  She works on achieving these goals by using various Manual Therapy techneques, Acupuncture, Physical Modalities and an Exercise  Prescription.

Shaveta is also certified in Acupuncture (Acupuncture Canada), and has received education in the Mulligan and Maitland mobilization techneques.  She plans to pursue training in Integrated Dry Needling and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).  She also looks forward to diversifying her skills in Pelvic health and Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation.  She has completed Level II of Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy (www.manippt.org).

When Shaveta is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
